HTML Hypertext Markup Language

HTML was created by Sir Tim Berners-Lee in 1991 but  published in 1995 as HTML 2.0. , HTML 4.01 was published in 1999 is the Standard Markup Language for Documents Designed to be Displayed in a web browser. 

It's not a programming language, it is a markup language code that is used to structure a web page and its content Like a Table , List, Paragraph, image, hyperlink etc.
